Religion and Health Care – Conflicts of Interest
Many women are facing problems with health care access mainly due to religious beliefs that are preventing them from getting the best options in terms of health care. Many cases have been reported of pharmacists refusing to sell products due to beliefs, hospitals who’s doctors couldn’t do their jobs because their patient’s beliefs prevent them from doing so. Much of these problems are being debated as we speak in religious and medical circles for they are of utter importance. People have died due to loved ones preventing doctors from administering procedures that would have eased pain and prevented death. Women from other nations who are being denied services mainly because of beliefs and cultural differences. The problem has reached the president and the topic is under discussion, should the line between religion and health care be dissolved by law under certain circumstances that may be deemed life or death? Problematic it is for no single person can attest to merit or disadvantage of such a statement or claim. The boundaries of religion and state clearly define that either should meddle in the affair of the other for they are two different bodies or entities in a society.
